How culture influences our way to thinking:

A nossa maneira de pensar envolve a cultura que estamos inseridos.
(Our way of thinking involves the culture that we live.)
Por exemplo, as meninas que nasceram no Oriente Médio, tem o costume de vestir-se diferente de nós, e isso, para elas, é naturalmente comum.
(For example, girls who were born in the Middle East, have the habit of dressing different from us, and that, for them, is naturally common.)
Se as mulheres ocidentais viajarem para o Oriente Médio, certamente elas serão vistas como "fora do padrão". (If western women traveling to the Middle East, surely they will be seen as "non-standard".) A nossa cultura diz muito sobre nós. Aqui no Brasil, é muito comum termos sempre uma segunda opção caso a primeira não dê certo, conhecido também como o "jeitinho brasileiro".
(Our culture says a lot about us. Here in Brazil, it is very common to always have a second option if the first does not work out, also known as the "Brazilian way".)

Um dia, ouvi o relato de um brasileiro que morou na Europa, se não me engano, de que os europeus frequentemente tinham tudo o que precisavam e não precisavam de segunda opção.
E, num certo dia, ele precisou colocar um prego em sua parede, mas não tinha ferramenta e foi

comprar.
(One day, I heard the report of a Brazilian who lived in Europe, that Europeans often had everything they needed and they didn't need a second option.

And, one day, he had to put a nail in your wall, but had no tools and went shopping.)
Para surpresa dele, ao chegar em sua casa, o seu amigo brasileiro tinha conseguido furar sem nenhuma ferramenta, pois o costume brasileiro é: calma, tenho sempre a segunda opção.
(To his surprise, when he got home, his Brazilian friend got to fix nail with no specifically tools, because it is the Brazilian custom: Calm, always have that second option.)
São formas de pensar diferente. Em países de primeiro mundo, geralmente, as pessoas têm tudo mais rápido e feito sob medida.
(Are different ways of thinking. In first world countries, generally, people have everything faster.)
Apesar de, no Brasil já termos avançado muito e estarmos com o estilo de vida praticamente igual das pessoas de primeiro mundo, ainda assim, nem sempre temos tudo.
(Although, in Brazil we have already advanced a lot and being practically the same style of life of the first world, yet not always we have everything.)

Por isso, os brasileiros, em geral, acabam explorando a habilidade de serem sempre criativos, pois se não tem algo, eles acabam criando algo.
(Therefore, Brazilian, generally end up exploiting the ability to always be creative, because if there is no something, they end up creating something.)
Enquanto um brasileiro pensa: "Por que o meu amigo europeu precisa comprar ferramentas se isso se pode fazer sozinho?".
(As a Brazilian thinking: "Why does my European/Japanese/Koean friend need to buy tools if this can be done alone?")
Ou então, já ouvi japoneses dizendo que os brasileiros são muitos "pegajosos" porque eles se cumprimentam com beijos e abraços, ou seja, um choque cultural.
(Or, I've heard Japanese saying that Brazilians are many "sticky" because they greet each other with kisses and hugs, its a culture shock).
Afinal, o que é realmente certo? (After all, what is really right?)
Existem maneiras certas de fazer as coisas? Ou, na verdade, existem jeito certo de fazer as coisas dentro de cada cultura?
Are there certain ways of doing things? Or actually, there are certain ways of doing things within each culture?)
Às vezes, o nosso certo é certo em todos os lugares do mundo, mas às vezes, o nosso certo só é certo no nosso país. (Sometimes our way (to thinking) is right everywhere in the world, but sometimes our way of thinking is only right in our country.)
